Thermal insulation of freight containers for sea, air and rail routes, groupage, storage, deposits or customs warehouses.

All the instruments that intervene in a merchandise exchange operation through maritime containers (producers-exporters, buyers-importers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, insurances…), coincide in the same desire when carrying out the inspection of the cargo at the destination, that the result is: “No notable incidents”.

It is within the framework of container logistics and specifically in the packing and stowage of goods, where Arelux is positioned with different insulating products in order to avoid sudden changes in temperature that occur during the transit by land, sea or air, and that may affect the commerce.

Although our container insulation systems are used mainly in the transport of food products (wines, distillates, jams, dairy products…), they are increasingly demanded to preserve the cargo in the transit of bulk, cosmetics, chemical products, goods of equipment, electronics and any other product sensitive to abrupt changes in temperature, light, humidity or oxygen.

Permanent isolation

By means of an internal, external or both covering of the container with our Imperlux Termic thermal paint and that provides an integral break of thermal bridges in the whole applied surface.
Being a permanent solution, it is the most used by shippers with traffic and customers of a certain regularity and who for convenience have their own fleet of containers. They are the SOC (Shipper Own Containers).

Ephemeral isolation

It is obtained through the use of our Aislatermic Cargo thermal blanket, either for the internal lining of the container or for the individualized wrapping of the pallet in the case of load groupage.
It is a reflective insulator of great resistance, which will allow isolating the container without the space available to transport the load being as altered as it happens with the traditional insulators, whose thickness is greater.

Aislatermic Cargo is the reflective thermal insulation of Grupo Arelux that, with a thermal blanket morphology composed of a double layer of pure aluminum, adhered to a matrix of dry air bubbles and polyethylene, provides a thermal insulation of the contents through the lined interior of the container.

It avoids the alterations that could affect the organoleptic qualities of the load originated by the abrupt changes of temperature, frequent for example, in the transport of wines. Diverse are the properties and advantages for which our customers choose this way of preserving their merchandise during the journey in the container.

Main properties and advantages of Aislatermic Cargo

  • As it is a light, semi-rigid, malleable and highly adaptable material, the first property that implies is a sanitary-hygienic physical separation between the cargo and the container, whose interior is not always in optimal conditions.
  • It is resistant to compression and breakage in the case of movement or load balancing and provides insulation by conduction, convection and reflection to 97% radiation, allowing stable temperature curves and protecting the goods from the solar action, oxygen and humidity.
  • It is impermeable to water and steam and non-putrescible so the products that are housed under its protection, in addition to the food, is unlimited since its use creates an atmosphere free of bacteria and mites that can proliferate in humid conditions.
  • Completely innocuous, anti-allergenic and without migrations for cargo and living beings and 100% ecological in terms of its manufacture and recyclability.

Why is it the ideal product for the isolation of the load?

Aislatermic Cargo is the ideal item for the thermal insulation of cargo during long sea and rail journeys, groupage, warehousing and storage, as well as for the isolation of containers that have to continue traveling by road after the sea route.

Its reduced thickness of 3 mm and its insulating qualities place it in a privileged place in terms of thermal properties compared to the typical three-dimensional thermal bags with a few microns of thickness. In addition to its great ductility in handling for installation or lining, which takes place in a few minutes, it is compatible with all types of containers (Dry Van 20′ and 40′ feet, High Cube, Bulk, Reefer, Reefer High Cube), as well as for the individualized lining of palletized loads in the case of groupage or air freight.

As a conclusion to the virtues of this great product, we will say that its reduced economic cost, barely impact on the load unit and makes it essential in the traffic of goods in maritime containers. This product meets the objectives and requirements of producers and final consumers, and above all, preserving the thermal and physical integrity of, what represents the fundamental part of an export-import, the cargo or object of trade.
